Los Angeles - Camarillo Premium Outlet, In n Out, Miyako Hybrid Hotel,Mitsuwa Marketplace

As soon as we got off the plane, we looked for the shuttle bus that would bring us to the company where we rented our car. We heard that in L.A., having a car is a must and since there's 3 of us, we thought it would be better that way. We asked for GPS installed, and Garmin became our best friend during this trip.

Our first stop: SHOPPING!

We decided to hit the Camarillo Premium Outlet first because it is quite far from everything. It was an hour drive from the airport and an hour drive to our hotel from the outlet. My boyfriend is not much of a shopper but his sister and I enjoyed every bit of it. I actually wished we stayed there longer and because it was far from where we were going for the next few days, that was no way we could go back.

Shops included Steve Madden, Kate Spade, J Crew, Michael Kors, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Tory Burch, Saks Fifth Avenue off 5th, UGG, Coach, Tumi, Samsonite, Barney's New York Outlet, Cotton On, Forever21, etc.

Here are what my boyfriend's sister and I bought. I should've bought more now that I think about it.

During our drive to the outlet, we had to stop by In-n-Out Burger first! This location is so busy! They had a person outside taking your drive-thru orders. This was my first time at In-n-Out. It was definitely an eye-opener. Their burger was juicy and fresh. I really enjoyed the bun with the burger. I saw them using the potato cutter to cut the fries manually. I wouldn't say their fries are better than McDonald's, but it definitely has more potato than McDonald's.

We stayed at Miyako Hybrid hotel in Terrance. Because it is not located in the city, the hotel was cheaper but we had a car, so it wasn't bad for us at all. I was really surprised how nice the hotel is. The hotel was super clean and organized. It is located right beside a Japanese marketplace, Mitsuwa, which was an awesome supermarket which we went there almost every day.

The shower is a Japanese style shower. There's a bucket and chair there which is common for Japanese. Japanese usually cleanse themselves by sitting on the chair and then they would go in for a bath.

Their toilet is those fancy Japanese toilet that cleans you after you go to the bathroom.

Their lobby is really nice and their rooms are really clean and neat. There's free wifi. They have a huge free parking lot for hotel guests which is nice given that it is common for visitors to rent out cars. They have a lounge/bar downstairs but we didn't go. This is a hotel that I definitely recommend because it's a quiet neighbourhood and this is a really nice hotel for its price.

Mitsuwa from our hotel room

We visited Mitsuwa the next morning and got breakfast there. We were lucky enough to have this special onigiri (rice balls wrapped in seaweed) place there for the weekend we were there. They are a Japanese brand and Mitsuwa probably invited them. I've never seen onigiri in such a nice presentation. Onigiri is considered a quick eat in japan because it's easy to eat on the go. It's also cheap because there are only a few ingredients.

They were located right at the entrance.

Every onigiri was freshly made daily

We ordered a few of their famous ones, shrimp tempura, unagi and Egg. They were the best onigiri I've had in my life. They tasted so good because they were so fresh. The ones we usually eat are found at convenience stores so they are pre-made already. They also use quality ingredients or ingredients you don't normally find in an onigiri. The typical ingredients in onigiri includes plum, tuna, and salmon. These onigiri also have sauces which makes them less dry and makes eating onigiri more enjoyable.

They were so good that we had to go back the next day to buy more. We got katsu cutlet and salmon.

Mitsuwa also have another food court. Because we went there during morning time, a lot of the stores in the food court were still prepping. We were able to snag some delicious cakes though. These cakes are from one of the stores in the food court and their cakes look so good. I have to say they are not cheap though but worth every penny. Look at how big the slice is and how many layers are in the matcha strawberry.
Tiramisu. So good, each layer is so distinct. My mouth is watering while typing this. This cake shop is a must try! You will fall in love.
